Oh la la!

Stepping out with my baby to Wimbledon the other day. It wasn't until I slung my trusty satchel over my shoulder that I realised I had come dressed like a French schoolgirl from a cartoon! The saddest thing is, this is not the first time I have dressed up like a big French stereotype either.

I spoiled myself with a black net ra-ra with black dots (it's so cute, I can't wait to wear it!) some Milliput for a project I'm obsessing over, and we swung by Hotel Chocolat for some treats. Lillian got me about 40 chocolates from there for Valentine's day- They were all gone within a few days despite my vow to limit myself to one every night after dinner. I tried!

Hey! It's Me!

Hooray, I have one follower, and it's Lillian! And even though she knows what I look like already and indeed took these photos, I am going to go ahead and post them anyway.

This was me on the weekend off to get some fabric to make up a sample, I was told 3 and ended up meeting at 6 so I was knocking around the house a lot. Check out the lovely fireplace/flamingo details of our garden.

Shirt- Ebay
Dress- Topshop. It's falling apart and has very crappy boning that I'll remove.
Tie- Primark
Fishnets- Anywhere, the only pair I have without ladders or holes now.
Shoes- Schuh
Lipstick- Barry M 117.

Spoonflower Mackerel

I love designing stuff, and right now I'm obsessed with my Spoonflower account, which you can check out here. I've wanted to make custom fabric for so long, it's a dream come true! So far I've got peppermints, cameos and dodos up, and a hundred more things in my head to get out into reality. I've just finished this basic image of a mackerel monarch that I think might look pretty good on fabric.

Still waiting on my samples of the fabric I've done to be sent in the post so I'm not close to making anything with my designs just yet, but it definitely will be fun once I start. Three cheers for Spoonflower!

Welcome!

How do you do? My name is Claire, and I decided it was time to start a blog to document all my creative efforts and hopefully spur me on to doing more. I'm terrible at taking pictures of stuff I've made, so I'm going to try to use posting here as a way to get over my procrastination!

I love fashion, art, crafts, reading, looking after my pets, makeup and hanging out with my friends. I'm going to post my outfits, my drawings and things I've made here, but other things could creep in as well. Mostly I want my blog to be a place where I get to showcase all the things in my life that make me happy! I'm not sure if it will gain any followers at all, but if it doesn't, it'll be a nice thing to write in anyway.

My lovely girlfriend Lillian runs a fabulous beauty blog called Lillian Funny Face, if you haven't found me through her, I definitely recommend checking it out.

Think that's all I have to say for now! Thanks for reading.
